Join us for the Climb 2 SHINE
Mount Everest Challenge!

The Mount Everest Challenge May 8 – June 5
At 29,035 feet (8,850 metres), Mount Everest (Sagarmatha) is the world’s tallest mountain. Situated on the border between Nepal and China, the extreme weather atop Everest makes it unclimbable for most of the year. For only a few weeks during the spring time does Sagarmatha offer a brief reprieve, so each May hundreds of climbers gather at her base camp and wait for their chance at the summit!
The Mount Everest Challenge is the most creative and intensive fundraising event NorQuest staff and faculty participate in for the SHINE campaign. Teams and individuals are set to climb the equivalent of Mount Everest in the stairwells of the College. This is the second year for staff and faculty to get involved in the Climb and we are asking for your support.
YOU can pledge a climber or team of climbers in their quest to conquer this iconic mountain at NorQuest College by donating or sponsoring a climber during the Climb for SHINE Mount Everest Challenge!
Join us for the Climb for Shine and help us raise funds for the SHINE. This year we are hoping to reach our goal of $8,850, one dollar every metre of Mount Everest!
