Help Support People Affected By Cancer! 

Getting the news of a cancer diagnosis is devastating, not only for the person with cancer, but their family and friends.  At Hope Connections we help people with cancer and their loved ones deal with the emotional and physical impact of cancer through professionally facilitated programs of emotional support, education, wellness and hope - all provided free of charge.

“If you haven’t been through a cancer diagnosis, let me tell you, at each step in the process, the panic increases.  I had an overwhelming sense of isolation, a feeling that I would have to go through this all alone.  Then, I discovered Hope Connections for Cancer Support.  It’s a place where you don’t have to try to explain the crazy range of emotions you’re experiencing, because you learn that everyone has those fears.  My disease stopped me in my tracks, but Hope Connections taught me to take my physical, mental and emotional health in my own hands, and I am all the better for it.             

At Hope Connections for Cancer Support, we provide a warm, welcoming home where anyone affected by cancer, regardless of cancer diagnosis, stage of disease, economic status, age, race, religion, sex or where they receive medical care, can come together, connect with, and help each other navigate through their cancer experience.  And, all of our programs are provided free of charge, despite the substantial costs of running our support groups, educational workshops and mind/body programs.  This is only possible through the generous support of our donors.

In 2013, we hope to start the following new programs:

• A metastatic cancer support group for those with advanced disease. 
• A monthly blood cancer support group.
• Increase the frequency of our Young Adults with Cancer support group from monthly to weekly meetings.  
• A weekly exercise class for post-treatment survivors.
