Vertical Express for Can Do MS 2014:  Saturday, February 8th - Vail Mountain, CO

 SKI or RIDE to Make a Difference!

Vertical Express for Can Do MS returns to its roots here in Vail, CO for the first time in many years. This is a fun, on-mountain event for skiers, boarders, and telemarkers of all abilities and ages that benefits Can Do Multiple Sclerosis, a national nonprofit (501)(c)(3) organization and leading provider of innovative lifestyle empowerment programs for people with MS and their support partners.Come celebrate our 30th anniversary and shred amazing powder on the slopes, enjoy apres parties with your friends and help us empower families living with MS!

Four US Ski Resorts will host Vertical Express events in 2014. The series has raised over $11 Million in its 28 year history.

 Vail Mountain Vertical Express 2014

There is a $25 registration fee which will be included in your fundraising effort. If you raise $250 or more, you reach VIP status and get a special VIP giftbag. Additional fundraising prizes will be announced soon and there will be a grand prize for the person that raises the most for Vertical Express for Can Do MS at Vail Mountain!

Event Overview:

Friday, February 7 – Opening Ceremony Party at Marriott Vail Mountain Resort & Spa (4:00pm – 7:00pm) 
 – Lecture on adaptive skiing
5:00pm – A special screening of CAN DO: The Legacy of Jimmie Heuga celebrating the 50th Anniversary of his Bronze medal win at the IX Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck, Austria

Saturday, February 8  - Vail Mountain
All Day – Adaptive Skiing Demo – Can Do MS will select individuals living with MS to spend the day with an adaptive ski instructor.
10:00am - 2:00pm - 
On-Mountain Scavenger Hunt
8:00am – 10:30pm
 – Registration at Lionshead base area
10:00am – 12:00pm – Races on EpicMix Race course – Avanti Run (First Come, First Served)
3:00 pm – Jimmie Heuga Memorial Ski Down led by Billy Kidd (Meet at top of Chair 26, Simba will be re-named for the day to “Jimmie Heuga Express”)
4:00pm – 6:00pm Après Party and Awards at Vail Marriott Mountain Resort & Spa in the Colorado Ballroom
