JOIN US for a day of cat-skiing fun in support of a great cause! April 10, 2015
For the third year, I am coordinating a day of cat-skiing at the Fortress Ski Resort. This KPOW (Kananaskis Powder) event will raise funds and awareness for Wellspring Calgary, a cancer support centre with which I’ve been involved for many years. They provide programs, resources and support to anyone living with any type of cancer at any stage in their journey, all at no charge and without need of referral. The only comprehensive, complementary centre of its kind in Western Canada, Wellspring Calgary’s vision is that no one has to face cancer alone.
Skiing at Fortress Mountain is as advertised. Awesome most times, challenging sometimes and fun always! While waiting to open up the chairlifts (with any luck, next season) take advantge of being able to experience K-Country downhill skiing at its finest in a private cat. April is peak snow season for this beautiful ski retreat only 1.25 hours from Calgary.
KPOW charges $475/seat for this time of the year but I am pleased to offer you this opprtunity to come cat skiing as my guest. The only stipulation is that to get on the guest list you must make a donation to Wellspring Calgary. Our goal is to raise $25,000 through this event so please give generously. After all, how often can you ski or ride on a private run and have the cost 100% tax deductable?
Please join my event or donate to this great cause. To register for Powderfest 2015, click on the Support Us Button and make your donation. Then send me an email at maurice.walch@canaccord.com to confirm your seat. I hope you can join us!
