(Tickets can be purchased at the door)
 Description

Ning Kam"Music For China's Abandoned Children" Featuring Ning Kam and Jannene Wall – A Concert Benefiting International China Concern.

On April 28th 2012, Ning Kam, Singaporean classical violinist and Jannene Wall ICC's Deputy Executive Director will be performing and speaking at a benefit concert in The Emmanuel Centre, Westminster, London. Ning has performed in concerts all over the world (www.ningkam.com) and she will be accompanied by pianist Anthony Hewitt winner of the William Kapell International Piano Competition. She performed for ICC in 2010 in what was a memorable and inspirational evening.

Helen Kay 2011 attendee said“2011’s concert was such a brilliant evening. Ning is such an engaging person and the music was beautiful, even for those new to classical pieces. Hearing the ICC story too was inspirational and very moving. Altogether a fantastic evening and great value for money

“An extraordinary young violinist whom I have known for many years, Ning Kam has a truly unique gift in that her playing communicates to an audience. It goes beyond just ‘playing the violin’. I have been very impressed, indeed, moved by her performances” Jaime Laredo

Jannene Wall, ICC's Deputy Executive Director has seen first-hand the suffering and pain experienced by disabled children who have been abandoned into China's overstretched welfare system. One of them, Yang Fu Tai came to us in July 2010 with a very large tumor on her back which had been diagnosed as incurable. She was very malnourished and weak. After weeks of examinations, tests and persuasion, the local hospital finally agreed to go ahead with surgery.  Today Tai Tai attends ICC’s kindergarten and is now on the adoption list and waiting for her 'Forever Family'

“We are tremendously blessed to have as fine a musical artist as Ning Kam choose to give her talent to a benefit concert for International China Concern,” said Jannene.  “I’m very much looking forward to  another wonderful night of music and getting a chance to talk about the great work being done today for some of China’s abandoned and disabled,”she  added.

ICC now brings love, hope and opportunity to hundreds of disabled children and young adults like Yang Fu Tai (www.chinaconcern.org) You can see some of the children with our International volunteers here (www.youtube.com)

We would like to thank Ning Kam, The Emmanuel Centre,(www.emmanuelcentre.com), Anthony Hewitt and private sponsors of this event for their generosity and support.
