 2024 Rotary Ride for Rescue
 Description

The Rotary Club of West Vancouver Sunrise and British Pacific Properties are proud to present

The 13th Annual  Rotary Ride for Rescue

June 8th, 2024 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Feel the sense of accomplishment after conquering one of the toughest climbs on the North Shore. Now experience that feeling with your community, in support of an incredible cause. Whether you are going for your best time, climbing cypress for the first time or are in it for the cause, this year's timed bike challenge is going to be an elevated experience you don't want to miss out on.

Participants will ride up Cypress Mountain beginning at the junction of Cypress Bowl Road and Cypress Lane and finishing at the Cypress Mountain Nordic Area.

Our goal is to fundraise a total of $100,000. With the help of our incredible sponsors, we are well on our way to reaching that goal. We are asking all participants to fundraise a minimum of $100. Did we mention that the top fundraisers will receive some incredible prizes?

2. Mountain Biker

Take on the challenge of riding up the 11 KM BLT Mountain Bike Trail, a medium-grade logging road with some steep sections. Click here for the course map. Conquer this ride on a mountain, gravel or E-bike.

Once registered you will have access to your personal fundraising portal. We make it extremely easy for you to reach your fundraising goal - with the ability to recruit team members and pledges right in your account. Please consider reaching our suggested fundraising minimum of $100.

Tax receipts are issued for pledges of $30 or more.

Great prizes will not only be given to the top fundraisers but also to the fastest individuals. Past prizes have included helicopter rides, hotel stays in Whistler, luxury dining experiences, etc.

Post Ride Celebration

After reaching the finish line at the Nordic area, enjoy a coffee and warm up before heading down to the Cypress Pop-Up Village for a free pancake and sausage breakfast. Invite family and friends to celebrate with you and enjoy the breakfast. A complimentary shuttle from the top of Cypress to the Pop-Up Village will be available.  When registering, please let us know if you think you will use these services.

This year we are excited to partner with British Pacific Properties for a post-ride celebration at the newly opened Cypress Pop-Up Village. This public gathering space brings the convenience of a park with a food vendor, bike wash and repair, an amazing view as well as local art.

Cypress Pop-Up Village is at McGavin Field (located between Mulgrave School and Cypress Lookout). If you decide to leave your car at Mulgrave school it is a very quick 5-minute ride down to your car after the event.
