2022 East Coast Trail "Trail Raiser On the Go"

Unfortunately, due to low registration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2022 Trail Raiser On the Go. We would like to offer a sincere thank-you to the individuals who registered for the Trail Raiser On the Go - we appreciate the support you have given the East Coast Trail Association. Your hard work in fundraising and hiking does not go unnoticed. We look forward to joining together once again in June 2023 at our Trail Raiser Community Hike.

Come Hike and Fundraise With Us

From September 12 to November 6, rally up a team of friends, family, coworkers, or just your own two feet. We are targeting a fundraising goal of $50,000 to help maintain, enhance, and develop the East Coast Trail in 2023. For example, funds raised in 2021 have been used in 2022 to enhance Tinkers Point Path, the south end of Bear Cove Point Path, and Island Meadow Path. These funds will also go towards replacing the La Manche suspension bridge stairs in 2023. These enhancements include replacing damaged structures and clearing overgrown areas of the paths.

What is Trail Raiser On the Go?

The East Coast Trail “Trail Raiser On the Go” is the East Coast Trail Association’s annual fall fundraiser, running this year from September 12 until November 6, 2022. Over the course of four sessions, totalling eight weeks, fundraisers are encouraged to complete self-guided hikes, following the suggested schedule. To complement each session's hikes, we have partnered with local businesses along the ECT to offer Trail Raiser On the Go participants fun activities to try over the fall season (see hike and activity schedule below).

Hiking Challenge & Activities

In addition to completing session hikes, over the course of the Trail Raiser On the Go, fundraisers will have the opportunity to partake in different activities along the Trail scheduled during each session. More information relating to the activity schedule will be shared via newsletter, so be sure to keep an eye on your email inbox! Note, the above schedule of activities is tentative and subject to change.
