DESCRIPTION:\n  ABMDR New England Group\n\n\n  Annual "Walk of Life" Walkathon\n\nThe Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry (ABMDR)\n  hosts an annual “Walk of Life” Walkathon in\n    Watertown\, MA\, bringing together families\, friends\,\n  and community members to support ABMDR’s lifesaving mission. The event\n  raises awareness and generates vital funds to sustain the\n  organization’s donor recruitment\, patient matching\, and other support services.\n\n  When &amp\; Where\n\n\n  \n    Location: Watertown\, Massachusetts\n  \n    Timing: Mid to late September(Scheduled to\n    coincide with the city's Faire on the Square)\n  \n    Starting Point:\n    \n    St. James Armenian Church / Charles Mosesian Cultural and Youth Center\n    465 Mt. Auburn Street\, Watertown\, MA\n  \n    End Point:\n    \n    Saltonstall Park at Watertown Square (at the ABMDR booth)\n  \n  \n    On-Site Registration &amp\; Check-In: 10:30–11:30 AM\n  \n  \n    Walk Begins: 11:30 AM\n  \n\n\n  Registration &amp\; Fundraising\n\n\n  \n    Online Registration: Opens 30–45 days before the\n    walk. Visit: ABMDR.AM/NE-WALK\n    \n  \n    Day-Of Registration (On-Site): Begins at 10:30 AM\n    at the starting location\n\nAfter registering online\, participants can:\n\n  Set personal fundraising goals\n  Create and customize donation pages\n  Send email invitations\n  Track progress and manage offline pledges\n\n\n  Participation Options\n\n\n  Walk as an individual\n  Walk with your children\n  Create a team with friends or family\n  Join in as a virtual walker\n\n\n  T-Shirts &amp\; Raffle Entries:\n\n\n  Register online at least two weeks before the\n    walk to receive:\n  \n    A custom-designed Walkathon T-shirt (for you and your team members)\n    A numbered raffle ticket for a chance to win one of 5+ prizes\n    \n  \n  T-shirts display the Walkathon logo\, event\n    date\, and sponsor names/logos.\n    Wearing the T-shirt helps show appreciation to our supporters.\n\n\n  For On-Site registration\, the T-shirts are available on a\n    first-come-first serve basis as supply lasts.\n\n\n  On-site registration also includes a numbered raffle ticket\n\n\n  Ceremonies &amp\; Activities\n\n\n  \n    Opening Ceremony:\n  \n  \n    Includes a prayer by attending clergy\n    \n  \n\no    Short remarks by the organizing committee or invited guest speaker\n\n  \n    Closing Ceremony:\n    \n      Top three individual fundraisers\n    \n  \n  \n    Held at the ABMDR booth in Saltonstall Park (may be moved to\n        the start of the walk at St. James in case of rain)\n    Acknowledgments to participants\, sponsors\, and volunteers\n    \n      Awards presented to: (categories to change from\n      year to year)\n    \n      Raffle drawing for registered participants\n  \n\nAfterward\, many participants stay to enjoy Watertown’s Faire\n    on the Square\, which will be in full swing.\n\n  Walk Route\n\nThe walk proceeds from St. James Armenian Church\n  down Mt.
