We are just coming out of 14 months of intense medical and very trying times. My son Benjamin has been in active treatment since April 2009 and we still have 2 years of chemo therapy to go. We have spent numerous weeks due to hospitalization, driven to clinic four times every week and have been stretched financially, emotionally, spiritually, physically beyond what we ever knew we could handle. By the grace of God we are standing. Ben has survived Leukemia, a stroke in the brain, pancreatitis three times, a broken port line that required major surgery because it was inside his heart, numerous visits late night due to high fevers etc. Just as of this last week we have been back in the hospital again due to high fevers and head aches. Surgery is coming up to remove a foreign object in his chest. All the above-mentioned is to speak of my son's bravery!! Ben is such an inspiration to me and my wife Robin. This 100 mile bike that I'll be doing is all in honor for my brave little man :)
Anyway, my personal goal is to help raise money for other families in the Tampa Bay area who have to cope with this terrible and sucky disease. Please help me in raising $500, any donation will gladly be accepted :)
God Bless,
Peter Mongaya Hogsholm

Cure on Wheels raises money for Tampa Bay families coping with a diagnosis of cancer through an annual Cure on Wheels Bike Challenge.
This year our event takes place at the beautiful Flatwoods Park located in Tampa Florida. As Florida’s only ride to benefit cancer research, Cure on Wheel’s intention is to successfully meld support from committed cyclists, volunteers, corporate sponsors and individual contributors. All are essential to Cure on Wheel's goal and model: to attain maximum fundraising efficiency while increasing its annual gift.
Our hope and aspiration is to provide Tampa Bay families the necessary resources to help them cope with the potentially debilitating diagnosis of cancer.
