Thanks for stopping by! My name is Dawn Qualls-Piparo. I am a novice rider and am enjoying training in this world of cycling enthusiasts. I hope to raise some serious funds in the coming weeks to go towards cancer research.
Cancer has been a mainstay for most of my life; personally, my mother has battled thyroid cancer and beat it! My Grandfather has prostate cancer, and my Uncle has Bladder and Colon Cancer. Long time family friends lost their little girl, Sierra, to cancer and a childhood friend of mine is a lymphoma patient. Not only have my family and friends been affected by this epidemic; I also work in the Malignant Hematology Clinic of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and I work with patients who bravely wage their own war against cancer every day! I plan to ride this year and every year that I can, to support the vital research that will find a cure to this disease and save my family, friends and my patients from this hardship. I will promise to train and to ride if you can promise to donate and support this mission! Every penny counts to pave the road of new hope and a brighter future for everyone that has been affected by Cancer.
I will be posting pictures and notes regarding my progress on Facebook, and through our team page. Friend me and keep up to see the mission you're supporting. If the money isn't there for you to share, Volunteers are always appreciated! You can go to the home page for Cure on Wheels and log in for Volunteer information.
As always, thanks for stopping by and remember that together we can bring an end Cancer, but it begins when someone says, "I WILL"!
