My name is Lucas Butland and I am a second year kinesiology student at Western University in London. I’m immensely grateful to be a part of a Team Broken Earth mission, as in November 2025 I will be accompanying the team on their medical relief and education mission to Antigua, Guatemala.
A team of Calgary based surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and volunteers like myself will be supporting life-changing surgical operations for locals in need. Many will travel long distances from remote rural areas to receive treatment through the mission—an opportunity they would otherwise not have access to.
As a medical school hopeful, I’m thrilled to have been given this opportunity to contribute to meaningful change and I truly believe in the impact that this mission will have on local communities. I appreciate you for taking the time to read my story and please consider supporting the mission.
