I have the amazing opportunity to participate in a medical relief and education mission with members of Team Broken Earth to Guatemala City.
Our team is comprised of nurses and physicians who will work to provide specialized surgical care to children and adults living in remote areas of Guatemala.
Most of these people live on less than $1 a day, and so without volunteer surgical teams like ours, they are unable to access even the most basic health care services. Specialized care, like surgery, is near impossible even though these procedures are necessary and life changing.
