Hi All. I just wanted update everyone at once. For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Brent Barrett and the evening OR X-ray at RJH.
Back in April of 2020 I was offered up the opportunity to join a medical relief mission with members of Team Broken Earth Vancouver. COVID-19 derailed that plan but after several rescheduling attempts, we are back on track. On October 14th I'll be joining the orthopaedics team and help run a C-arm that was donated from St. Pauls Hospital.
We are planning to run 4 OR rooms for 5 days for locals from the rural area. We are taking all our supplies with us to run a General, Orthopaedics, Gynaecological and Plastics OR. The Plastics surgery room will have a focus on repairing cleft palates in children. You can learn more from the website Brokenearth.ca
