This October I will be going to Guatemala on a medical relief mission with Team Broken Earth (TBE). This will be my first year with the organization and I am so excited to work alongside my dad, BCCH co-worker, and the other amazing members of TBE.
This will be TBE's fourth medical mission to Guatemala. In the past, they have done trips to Haiti, Bangladesh, and Nicaragua. Our team will travel to Guatemala from October 14-22, 2023 to provide surgical care for the Mayan Indigenous population living in the country's most remote and underserved regions. This year, our team will focus on gynecological, orthopedic, and general surgeries.
The donations we collect will help with the costs of the mission, including medical supplies, patient costs, and travel.
Team Broken Earth provides medical care and education in disaster stricken and developing nations. Our missions focus on providing much needed care to those most in need, and supporting and reinforcing the healthcare system in some of the poorest countries in the world.
