As we move closer to Father’s Day, I am asking you to step up the fight against prostate cancer and support the men you love.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Come join us for a fun morning. You can join the team and go for a 2k or 5k walk or if you are feeling really energetic there is a 10k run. If you can't make it, you can make a donation if you like! Don't worry I know I have been doing this for a long time and many of you have done your part already!
Team "Pain in the Ass" has raised over $145,000.00 so far
WHY AM I PARTICIPATING IN THE RUN?
Not only because I have been living with terminal Prostate Cancer for over 17 years but because I am the lucky one. We lost two team members since last year.
Steve Flintoff, a member of our support group. Steve, his wife Mary and his family were a major part of our team - all with a smile that spread through the team. Steve lost his battle as there wasn't a treatment to deal with his type.
Rob Kikkert was a team member and a member of our support group. He is missed by the team and his family.
Tens of thousands of Canadian men are living courageously with prostate cancer and their families deal with this everyday. And it’s for the roughly 26,000 men who will be diagnosed each year and everyone who cares about them.
THE JUNE 15, 2025 FATHER'S DAY EVENT
Is an annual event hosted by Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada, a volunteer based organization that represents Canada’s prostate cancer patients, their families and communities. Even if you aren’t a walker or a runner, you can still step up and volunteer or consider donating to PCFC to fund research for this disease that currently affects 1 in 8 men.
Every donation, no matter how small, will have a large impact for men and their families dealing with a diagnosis of prostate cancer in Canada.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and for giving the men in your life the gift of health this Father's Day.
