I'm running in support of prostate cancer!
Men across Canada are facing an uncertain future with a prostate cancer diagnosis. Yes there are treatment options, but the reality is cancer is cancer. Prostate cancer is the #1 cancer for men and the second leading cause of cancer death. 1 in 8 Canadian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Being treated over 17 years ago, I will continue to run and fundraise; but it's not enough. I need your help now more than ever. As we move closer to Father’s Day, I am asking you to step up the fight against prostate cancer and support the men you love.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Support me and make a donation to the 27th Annual Father’s Day Walk/Run for Prostate Cancer via my personal web page below.
WHY AM I PARTICIPATING IN THE RUN?
Because this run is for the tens of thousands of Canadian men living courageously with prostate cancer and their families. It’s for all the men who have died from this disease and the families who have lost loved ones. It’s for the roughly 26,000 men who will be diagnosed in 2025 and everyone who cares about them.
THE FATHER'S DAY WALK RUN EVENT
Is an annual event hosted by Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada, a volunteer based organization that represents Canada’s prostate cancer patients, their families and communities. Even if you aren’t a walker or a runner, you can still step up and volunteer or consider donating.
Every donation, big or small, will have a huge impact for men and their families dealing with a prostate cancer diagnosis in Canada.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and for giving the men in your life the gift of health this Father's Day.
