I believe that if you can't run from it...then walk or run for it, and that is what I plan to do!
As we move closer to Father’s Day, I am asking you to step up the fight against prostate cancer and support the men you love.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Support me and make a donation to Prostate Cancer Foundation BC's Annual Father’s Day Walk/Run for Prostate Cancer via my personal web page below or join the team and do the walk / run with us virtually.
WHY AM I PARTICIPATING IN THE RUN?
Because this run is for the tens of thousands of Canadian men living courageously with prostate cancer and their families. It’s for all the men who have died from this disease and the families who have lost loved ones. It’s for the roughly 26,000 men who will be diagnosed in 2020 and everyone who cares about them. I was diagnosed in 2008 and given a short lifespan - I have run the 10k 10 times and will doing a walk with my grand daughter who I am very lucky to be around to meet and love.
THE JUNE 21, 2020 FATHER'S DAY EVENT
Is an annual event hosted by Prostate Cancer Foundation BC a volunteer based organization that represents BC’s prostate cancer patients, their families and communities. Even if you aren’t a walker or a runner, you can still donate to team "Pain in the Ass" to fund research for this disease that currently affects 1 in 9 men.
Every donation, no matter how small, will have a large impact for men and their families dealing with a diagnosis of prostate cancer in BC.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and for giving the men in your life the gift of health this Father's Day.
