It's The Rotary Club of Toronto's Centennial.  That's 100 years of serving the community here in Toronto and around the world.

Help me support the Rotary International District 7070 in the 2013 Trump Aids Poker Walk!

I am participating as a Rotaract Knight, and I promised I would raise a minimum of tenner for every one of our Club's year's of service to the community - both here in the city and internationally.  If it wasn't such a busy year for us, and people had not already been so very generous in supporting our activites - I WAS going to suggest a goal of $100 for each of 100 years.  But they told me that was too ambitious.  So I'll instead look to raise the same $1000 each for Rotaract AND Rotary Club projects.

This walk is intrumental in raising funds for international and local initiatives by participating Rotary Clubs and other groups to support health and advocacy efforts on HIV/AIDS through education, prevention, treatment, support for orphans, surviving guardians and people living with AIDS. In addition, communities stricken by HIV/AIDS will be assisted in overcoming shortages of drinking water, food, or shelter – essential for recovery and a sustainable future.

Our Club - and our two Rotaract Clubs - have been supportive of this event since it's inception.
