Dear Friends,

I have taken part in the Trump Aids Poker Walk since I joined Rotaract 5 and a half years ago. I've either volunteered, participated in the walk or made a donation. In the past, our club has donated to Dignitas International and People to People AID Organization (Canada). Last year we raised over $5000, making our team the top fundraiser! Our club received 75% of the total amount we raised to donate to a charity of our choice. We selected People to People AID Organization (Canada) and delivered a cheque for $4140 for their Orphan Sponsorship Program in Ethiopia to help children whose parents have died from AIDS. We were very proud to have delivered the cheque in person at P2P's annual fundraising gala in December and to support such a wonderful organization.

This year, we hope to reclaim our first place finish as the top fundraiser and raise as much funds as we can for international and local initiatives to win the war on HIV/AIDS. We can make a difference through education, prevention, treatment, support fororphans, surviving guardians and people living with AIDS. In addition, communities stricken by HIV/AIDS will be assisted in overcoming shortages of drinking water, food, or shelter – essential for recovery and a sustainable future.
