TELUS SPECTRUM BC is participating in the Foundation of Hope’s (FOH) annual STRUT walk-a-thon on June 8th and we hope you can support us. Our team will be walking a mile in shoes pushing our comfort zones to raise funds to help LGBT+ refugees – Strutting our way to show support and solidarity for those who can’t!

In over 75 countries Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Trans* people are still persecuted, often facing violence, and even death, on the basis of their sexual orientation, gender identity and expression. A refugee’s journey is often a difficult one and they face more challenges when arriving in Canada.

Isolation, loneliness, depression, PTSD, are not uncommon and a lot of resources are needed to help with their integration to a new life in Canada.

The funds raised through STRUT allow FOH to continue providing grants to sponsorship groups and charities directly working to support LGBT+ asylum-seekers, refugees & newcomers. Please help us reach our fundraising goal! Just click "Sponsor Us" to donate and make a difference!!
