Running and Cycling to Change the Lives of People with Cancer

Canada Get Fit Canadians in Burlington, Oakville, Mississauga and western GTA train and prepare for 10K races, half marathons, full marathons and cycling events in a friendly group atmosphere. Canada Get Fit has programs for the novice and those inspired to improve their overall performance.   

For the past 15 years Canada Get Fit has been helping people Change your Life.  We believe that exercise and you can be the difference… Each year, Canada Get Fit chooses a local charity to support.  This year we are partnering with the IRONDames to support efforts to raise $200,000 to construct and equip a New Cancer Exercise Facility for WELLSPRING Halton-Peel. 

Research has shown that exercising through cancer therapy can improve outcomes.  As part of a group that is firmly committed to fitness as a way to Change Your Life, Canada Get Fit believes that Wellspring’s New Cancer Exercise Facility is an excellent Charity of Choice for the 2012 Canada Get Fit Season.  

To help the IRONDames reach their fundraising goal many of our members will be dedicating their Running and Centurion Cycling Challenges in 2012 to WELLSPRING Halton-Peel’s New Cancer Exercise Facility.
