Hello! My name is Holly and my beloved Harlow is my service dog. Harlow came into my life in May 2020, after being on the K4Paws waitlist. I had asked for a smaller, super affectionate puppy who could help me with my anxiety, depression, seasonal blues and feelings of overwhelm. I could not have received a more beautiful match than my Harlow. From the moment we met, I could see it was going to be a beautiful relationship.

We attended weekly training classes, which really helped build our bond and allowed us both to learn how to work with each other. The trainers at K4Paws are second to none and really know their stuff! They were there for me in the beginning when I had so many worries about doing the right thing and becoming a team.

I am happy to report that Harlow has travelled with my husband and I to PEI, Victoria, Florida, Rome, and on a cruise in the Mediterranean. Our next adventure is going to Spain for a month. There’s a lot of paperwork to do when travelling with a service dog, but we have become experts at it for sure! Harlow has also helped me step out of my shell to begin pursuing my long-delayed dream of acting (or at least trying).

Thank you to K4Paws for accepting me into your wonderful program and for understanding that although someone may seem very high functioning on the outside, there are hurts on the inside that run very deep. Harlow has helped me cope so much, and has helped to move closer to becoming the person I was a long, long time ago before life got in the way.
