My mom has always been a passionate wife and a caring mother,
hardworking and supportive. None of these characteristics have changed
since her PTSD diagnosis. Her condition makes it difficult for her to
see herself in a positive light, which is why I will be telling you
her story.
It's not necessary to delve into the traumatic events that occurred.
Instead, I'd like to give you a few examples of how her life has
changed, and why a service dog will greatly improve her quality of
life. She struggles to go out in public, even to the grocery store, as
she is wary of being surrounded by strangers. She finds it difficult
to trust other people. A furry friend by her side would give her the
confidence and courage she needs to resume everyday outings and
interact with others. The objective is to allow her to have some of
her freedom back, the freedom she deserves to have.
As a family, we are so grateful to Kingston 4 Paws for accepting her
into the program. We are so excited to be by her side for the next
part of her journey, walking along her and her service dog.
We appreciate all donations to this great organization with a big
heart. Thank you so much.
