Hello, I'm Celine, a 22-year-old student originally from New Brunswick, now immersed in studies in Ottawa, Ontario. My venture to Ottawa commenced in 2019, to further my education. Navigating life with a visual impairment, I received diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Hyperactive Deficit Disorder (ADHD), Generalized Anxiety, and Depression two years ago.

The decision to relocate to a city was pivotal for maintaining my independence due to my inability to drive. My cozy abode is shared solely with Kiska, my feline companion. While I cherish my autonomy, daily obstacles often arise, especially in managing routine tasks involving public transit, errands, and bustling spaces. The fluctuations in my energy levels, sensory responses, and executive functioning pose challenges to daily living.
 
Despite the hurdles, my disabilities haven't hindered me from living a fulfilling life true to myself. In high school, I thrived in Para Nordic Skiing, even competing in the 2019 Canada Games in Red Deer, Alberta. However, my pursuit of education led me to step away from competitive skiing. Presently, I'm studying civil engineering technology at Algonquin College with a passionate aspiration to become an accessibility consultant, focusing on public spaces within the construction industry.

An exciting prospect on my horizon is having been accepted to be on the waitlist for a K4Paws Service Dog!! I am fully aware of the incredible support and safety this companion will offer, enriching my life further and aiding me in navigating challenges more seamlessly.
