DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:How have audit mandates expanded both inside and outside=0D=0A  organizations and what has driven this expansion? This Ivey Idea Forum=0D=0A  will explore this question through the eyes of our keynote speaker ?=0D=0A  Bonnie Lysyk, the Auditor General of Ontario ? and a panel of leading=0D=0A  CPAs from industry and practice.=0D=0A=0D=0AKnown for uncovering failings and improvements in government=0D=0A  spending, an auditor general is someone the public has come to trust.=0D=0A  That?s why the role of this public watchdog has increasingly expanded.=0D=0A  Over the past decade, the mandate of the Auditor General of Ontario=0D=0A  has expanded to include scrutiny of government advertising for=0D=0A  partisan elements that give an unfair advantage. Are these trends in=0D=0A  the expansion of the audit mandate elsewhere within industry,=0D=0A  corporations, and public practice? What are the implications of this=0D=0A  expanded audit mandate and the systems in place? How can academic,=0D=0A  government, and industry representatives work together to drive=0D=0A  thought leadership in the accounting and auditing profession?=0D=0A=0D=0AIn her keynote address, Lysyk will discuss changes in audit mandates=0D=0A  in government. Professor Vaughan Radcliffe from the CPA?Ivey Centre for Accounting and the=0D=0A    Public Interest will then moderate a discussion with Lysyk and=0D=0A  the panellists more broadly on the implications for the environment of=0D=0A  audit organizations. The panel includes Stacey Nagle; Partner, Audit,=0D=0A  Corporate Reporting, and Manufacturing at Deloitte Canada; and Diane=0D=0A  Sinhuber, Senior Vice President & Deputy Chief Auditor of TD Bank Group. =0D=0A=0D=0AThis event is also a great opportunity to meet leading researchers=0D=0A  and faculty from Ivey and other business schools. =0D=0A
