How then\,\n  as business professionals\, can we influence the importance of privacy\n  and security management while at the same time we become enablers of\n  innovative business models? During this session we will discuss the\n  importance of a Privacy Management Program that ensures that the\n  business achieves its goals while at the same time complies with\n  regulatory and commercial expectations regarding the control and\n  protection of personal data. From understanding what personal data is\n  needed to provide superior products and services to assessing the\n  risks to individuals and the organization to responding to data\n  breaches if they happen\, it is important to adopt a program that will\n  guide strategic decisions and will help manage risks.\n \n\n  Guest Speaker: Alejandra Brown  \n\nAle started her career as an IT professional working for large\n  corporations such as Procter &amp\; Gamble and Johnson &amp\; Johnson.\n  She also ventured into the entrepreneurial world working for\n  boutique consulting firms when she moved to Vancouver. Her specialties\n  at the time were the implementation and management of ERP systems and\n  Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategies.\nDuring her last corporate job with J&amp\;J\, she partnered with\n  various commercial groups in the organization\, providing IT solutions\n  in the area of Sales Force Effectiveness and Digital Marketing.
