DESCRIPTION:Pre-Ivey Workshops will be offered virtually on August 15th\, August\n  31 and September 1st. These workshops are available in both Excel\, and\n  Accounting. These workshops are not a requirement for incoming HBA\n  students\, but rather an option for those who feel they will be better\n  prepared for the HBA1 year with a quantitative skill refresher.\n    The material presented in each of these courses will not be\n    taught in your HBA1 courses\, rather they are meant to give you the\n    knowledge base that is required to take accounting and excel\n    concepts to the next level of learning.\n\nONLINE COURSE OPTIONS:\n\n  Accounting Refresher (Half Day)\n\n  Offered: (Pick ONE Day Only)\n\n\n  Saturday August 15\, OR Tuesday September 1st:  9am to 12 pm EST\n\nThis one-day workshop will refresh your knowledge of the financial\n  accounting skills learned during your BUS2257 course including a\n  review of the accounting basics through to building the financial\n  statements. The expectation in HBA1 is that you have sound knowledge\n  of financial statement assembly and analysis. **Please note – the\n  Accounting Refresher course will only be open and offered to those\n  students who had a BUS 2257 mark of 80% or lower. If\n  you had over 80% in BUS 2257 and register in the course\, you will be\n  removed from it. This course is strongly recommended for those\n  students who received less than 80% in BUS 2257.**\nCost for the half day accounting course is $65.00 + HST.  \n\n  Introduction to Modeling for Business Decisions in\n  Excel (Full Day)\n\n  Offered (Pick ONE Day only):\n\n\n   Saturday August 15th\, Monday August 31\, or Tuesday September\n    1:  8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST\n\nOpen to all students.\nFor students who are new to performing business analysis in Excel\, or\n  for those who have a difficult time completing the pre-Ivey Excel\n  notes on their own\, we recommend the Introduction to Excel for\n  Business Modelling Pre-Ivey workshop. This one-day workshop will\n  provide hands-on help in understanding and fully taking advantage of\n  the skills covered in the pre-Ivey Excel notes. \nDuring the workshop\, instructors will be able to provide one on one\n  help in pre-Ivey Excel note problems and provide insight into when you\n  might see similar problems applied in the Ivey classroom. The workshop\n  will demonstrate the advantages of separating inputs from the\n  calculations\, model implementation strategies to prevent calculation\n  errors\, methods for performing sensitivity analysis\, and Excel tools\n  for visualizing model results. In addition\, advanced logical functions\n  for summarizing data will be covered.\n\n  Note: Please register for only ONE of the dates.\n\nCost for the full day excel course is $130.00 + HST.\n\n   TO REGISTER:\n\n\n  Registration with full payment closes Monday August 10\,\n    2020 with no refunds after Friday\, August 14\, 2020\n      for sessions on August 15th.  All other\n      workshops\, registration closes Wednesday August 26th with no\n      refunds after Friday August 28th Payment is through\n    credit card.
