These workshops are not a requirement for incoming HBA=0D=0A  students, but rather an option for those who feel they will be better=0D=0A  prepared for the HBA1 year with a quantitative skill refresher.=0D=0A    The material presented in each of these courses will not be=0D=0A    taught in your HBA1 courses, rather they are meant to give you the=0D=0A    knowledge base that is required to take accounting and excel=0D=0A    concepts to the next level of learning.=0D=0A=0D=0AONLINE COURSE OPTIONS:=0D=0A=0D=0A  Accounting Refresher (Half Day)=0D=0A=0D=0A  Offered: (Pick ONE Day Only)=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A  Saturday August 15, OR Tuesday September 1st:  9am to 12 pm EST=0D=0A=0D=0AThis one-day workshop will refresh your knowledge of the financial=0D=0A  accounting skills learned during your BUS2257 course including a=0D=0A  review of the accounting basics through to building the financial=0D=0A  statements. The expectation in HBA1 is that you have sound knowledge=0D=0A  of financial statement assembly and analysis. **Please note ? the=0D=0A  Accounting Refresher course will only be open and offered to those=0D=0A  students who had a BUS 2257 mark of 80% or lower. If=0D=0A  you had over 80% in BUS 2257 and register in the course, you will be=0D=0A  removed from it. This one-day workshop will=0D=0A  provide hands-on help in understanding and fully taking advantage of=0D=0A  the skills covered in the pre-Ivey Excel notes. =0D=0A=0D=0ADuring the workshop, instructors will be able to provide one on one=0D=0A  help in pre-Ivey Excel note problems and provide insight into when you=0D=0A  might see similar problems applied in the Ivey classroom. The workshop=0D=0A  will demonstrate the advantages of separating inputs from the=0D=0A  calculations, model implementation strategies to prevent calculation=0D=0A  errors, methods for performing sensitivity analysis, and Excel tools=0D=0A  for visualizing model results.
