DESCRIPTION:\n  CARL'S 2021 WEBINAR ON AFGHANISTAN: REFUGEE PROTECTION AND\n    PATHWAYS TO CANADA\n\n \nPlease join the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers\n    on Thursday\, September 9 from 1:00pm EST/11:00am PST to\n    2:30pm EST/12:30pm PST for a webinar on the current\n  situation in Afghanistan and effective advocacy in representation of\n  Afghan claims before the Refugee Protection Division as well as\n  pathways for overseas Afghans\, particularly refugee private\n  sponsorship. Presenters will include:\n\n  Journalist Robert Fife\, Ottawa Bureau Chief at the Globe and Mail\;\n  Nilofar Ahmadi at N.K. Lawyers\, who specializes in claims from Afghanistan\;\n  Jackie Swaisland\, partner at Landings LLP and founding member of\n    the Refugee Sponsorship Support Program\; and\n  Djawid Taheri\, Taheri Law Office\, an Afghan-Canadian refugee\n    lawyer who is assisting in efforts to rescue some of the most\n    at-risk individuals in Afghanistan.\n\n\n   \n\nThe panel will be moderated by Warda Shazadi Meighen\, partner\n    at Landings LLP.\n\n\n  REGISTRATION FEES:\n\n\n  \n    Frais d’inscription\n  \n\n \nThere is no registration fee.
