DESCRIPTION:\n  \n\n \n\n  \n    OPTI 2\n  \n\n\n  Ages 8-11\n\n\n  9am - 4pm  Mon - Fri (1 week)\n\n \n COMPLETION OF OPTI 1 IS REQUIRED\n    BEFORE TAKING \n\n\n  OPTI 2\n\n \nTaught on our fleet of Opti dinghies\n\n  Builds on basic skills learned in Opti 1\, and focuses on sailing\n  efficiency in a safe and fun environment   \nBased on CANSail 1 &amp\; 2 curricula\,\n  adjusted for younger sailors through progressive training levels\nStudents continue to build on the basics\n  learned in Opti 1 while learning additional skills such as downwind\n  sailing techniques\nInstruction is safety-based as prescribed\n  by the CANSail program\nCost: $345 ($283 for August 2 -5)\n \n\n  \n    Note:  Sailors must have their own life jacket and wear  \n      closed-toe shoes (non-skid such as runners\, water shoes)\n  \n\n\n  \n    Daily Requirements:  lunch\, water\, sunscreen\, swimsuit\, change\n      of clothes for sunny or wet weather\, towel.  Face mask may be\n      required for indoor rainy day activities. \n   \nIf your child has completed Opti 2 and is 9 or 10 years\, they should\n  retake Opti 2 due to the age requirement for CANSail 1 which is the\n  next level of sailing. This provides the time for the sailor to gain\n  more proficiency in sailing basics and builds more confidence on the\n  water.
