DESCRIPTION:When\n    Wednesday\, November 2nd from 12 to 1 PM \nWhere\n      Zoom\nCosts\nOASW Members: Free!Non-Members:\n  $20Student Non-Members: $10\nEvent Description\nBuilding a therapeutic alliance with individuals and families in our\n  rural communities can present a unique set of challenges. Join the\n  National Farmer Mental Health Alliance (NFMHA) as we share some\n  helpful strategies and create an open forum for discussion. Through\n  case study application participants will be given an opportunity to\n  develop their understanding and considerations for those involved in\n  the agriculture industry.\nBiography of Presenter:\nLauren Van Ewyk is an engaging speaker\, registered social worker\,\n  foster mom and agricultural mental health advocate. She is a founding\n  partner of the National Farmer Mental Health\n    Alliance (www.nfmha.ca)\n  which was developed after a team of experienced psychotherapists with\n  lived agriculture experience\, discussed the unique needs facing the\n  agriculture industry. The challenges of farming and the importance of\n  having access to mental health services and supports tailored to\n  farmers\, farm families\, and veterinarians was conceptualized into the\n  services that are offered. We seek to help all those involved in the\n  agriculture community thrive. \nNOTE ABOUT REGISTRATION QUESTIONS:\nOASW is committed to inclusion and promoting a diverse range of\n  identities\, experiences\, perspectives\, and voices across all areas of\n  the Association.
