DESCRIPTION:\n  Being Edited: Two Authors Share Their Experiences \n    \n  \n\nWhen:  Wednesday\, January 18\, 7:30 to 8:30 pm PST\nWhere: Online through Zoom \n    \n  \n\nCost:    Editors Canada members\, free\; non-members\, $10\; student\n  non-members\, $5\nPlease join us for a valuable conversation with two authors about\n  their experiences working with editors. They will share how they\n  prepare for the editing process\, what editors do that’s helpful\, and\n  what editors do that drives them crazy. \n\n  Esmeralda Cabral writes creative nonfiction and lives\n  in Vancouver\, BC\, with her family. A graduate of The Writer’s Studio\n  at SFU\, she holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from the University of\n  King’s College\, Halifax. Her work has been published in literary\n  journals\, anthologies\, and online. Her first book\, How to Clean a\n    Fish and Other Adventures in Portugal\, will be published by\n  University of Alberta Press in spring 2023. \n\n  Rachel Hartman is the author of four young adult\n  fantasy novels—including Seraphina\, which won the William C.\n  Morris YA Debut Award\, and Tess of the Road. Rachel\n  has been an adjunct teacher of creative writing at UBC. She lives in\n  Vancouver\, BC\, with her family.
