DESCRIPTION:\n  \n    \n      How to Make Specialized Writing More Engaging\n    \n     \n    \n  \n\nWhen:  Wednesday\, March 15\, 7:30 to 8:30 pm PDT\nWhere: Online through Zoom \n    \n  \n\nCost:    Editors Canada members\, free\; non-members\, $10\; student\n  non-members\, $5\n \nHow do editors help clients in specialized industries create material\n  that's engaging and easy to understand? We'll explore ways to help\n  your clients identify which topics are most interesting to their\n  readers\, and ways you can edit their writing to make it more accessible.\n  \n  Heidi Turner\, a freelance writer and editor since\n  2006\, has helped numerous law firms and accounting practices produce\n  engaging blog posts and marketing materials. She is also the head of\n  content for Bizink—a marketing agency focused on accountants\,\n  bookkeepers\, and financial planners—and an instructor in SFU's Editing\n  Certificate program. In 2013\, she won the Abbotsford Arts Council's\n  Arty Award for Outstanding Artist in the Literary Arts. Heidi is a\n  mentor in Locelle's mentoring program and was the BC Regional Director\n  for the Professional Writers Association of Canada. Her dog remains\n  unimpressed with her accomplishments.\n  \n  Note: Editors BC will record this meeting.
