But if these do-it-yourself writers need extra=0D=0A  support on their publishing journey, being ?just? an editor is not=0D=0A  always enough to help them. Merielle Kazakoff will share how she found=0D=0A  her way into the self-publishing field, how she has adapted to the=0D=0A  needs of her clients, and why she loves working in this fast-growing=0D=0A  book market. You?ll also learn:=0D=0A=0D=0A  the role of an editor in self-publishing,=0D=0A  what you need to know beyond editing,=0D=0A  how to help authors past the editing stage,=0D=0A  the different publishing options for authors, and=0D=0A  the different paths editors can take with self-publishing.=0D=0A=0D=0AIf you like diversity in your work and are open to learning something=0D=0A  new, then self-publishing is a great world to be in!=0D=0A=0D=0A  Merielle Kazakoff strongly advocates for all=0D=0A  storytellers as a freelance editor and a writing and publishing coach.=0D=0A  With her diverse writing and publishing background, she enjoys the=0D=0A  creative freedom and different challenges that come with each writer=0D=0A  she works alongside. Through a regional literacy group, she teaches=0D=0A  Writing Out Loud workshops based on freewriting and is a volunteer=0D=0A  tutor in Newcomers? English classes. Throughout the year, she?s a=0D=0A  story judge for NYC Midnight, an international short-story challenge=0D=0A  based out of New York. When not working with words, she?s exploring=0D=0A  nature on her paddleboard or out with her camera taking photos to=0D=0A  share in her local art gallery.=0D=0A=0D=0A  =0D=0A=0D=0A  Seminar=0D=0A  Recording Notice:=0D=0A=0D=0A  Editors BC will be recording these sessions using Zoom?s=0D=0A  record feature. The=0D=0A  Zoom recordings will be made available to registered seminar=0D=0A  participants for a period of four weeks following the session.
