In applying these materials\, the focus becomes centered on the\n problematic patterns of thinking that were caused by the trauma and\n challenging them with healthy patterns of thought that can lead to a\n decrease in maladaptive behaviours. This workshop will focus on\n identifying an effective trauma treatment when working with clients\n struggling with substance use using CPT as an evidence-based approach.\n                                      \nPresenter:\nJeffrey Sica\, a Registered Psychotherapist\, completed Masters of\n Science in Psychology\, has 20 years of experience in mental health and\n addictions. He has worked at Brookside Psychologists\, Quest Community\n Health Center\, and CASON. Sica has led clinical teams in Dialectical\n Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and provides evidence-based therapies like\n Cognitive Behaviour Therapy\, Prolonged Exposure Therapy\, and Cognitive\n Processing Therapy for trauma.
