DESCRIPTION:\n  Spontaneous Art in the Context of Psychoanalytically Oriented\n    Child Therapy\n\n \n\n  Sarah Brodie M.A.\, RP\, CICAPP \n\n\n  Saturday\, October 5\, 2024\n\n\n  10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. EST\n\n\n  \n    An online virtual presentation via Zoom videoconference.\n  \n\n\n   \n\n\n  About the presentation\n\nIn this 2-hour CICAPP distance-education event\, psychotherapist/art\n  therapist Sarah Brodie will introduce case examples to challenge\n  participants to align spontaneous art making in the context of\n  psychoanalytically-oriented child therapy\, with case formulation that\n  underlies the art. In the Q&amp\;A discussion\, Sarah can lend her\n  expertise in setting the stage for art making in session work with\n  children and adolescents\, media overview\, and suggestions for the\n  therapist. Sarah will be reading Winnicott’s Playing &amp\; Reality to\n  have as a theoretical touchstone for this discussion. Finally\, Sarah\n  will offer a creative prompt for countertransference art\, an asset for\n  psychoanalytically informed supervision.\n \n\n  About the Presenter\n\n\n  Sarah Brodie is a registered psychotherapist working\n  in private practice at The Arterie\,\n  in Burlington\, Ontario. She trained as an art therapist at Concordia\n  University\, Montreal\, and as a child and adolescent psychoanalytic\n  psychotherapist at CICAPP.
