Readers are increasingly demanding the right to=0D=0A  understand the material they need for various purposes. Communicators=0D=0A  are seeing the benefits of using plain language to reach their target=0D=0A  audiences. And organizations of all kinds are looking for more plain=0D=0A  language support.=0D=0A=0D=0AFor editors, this momentum means more opportunities to offer plain=0D=0A  language editing, writing, training, and coaching services?but it?s=0D=0A  crucial to do so professionally. This session will cover recent=0D=0A  developments and trends in plain language, and where and how to build=0D=0A  your plain language skills, knowledge, community, and client list. The=0D=0A  session is aimed at editors who are fairly new to plain language,=0D=0A  though we welcome more experienced editors to come and share their=0D=0A  wisdom with the group.=0D=0A=0D=0AJoin us as we speak with panelists Lana Okerlund, Lucy=0D=0A    Kenward, and Rowena Rae, partners of West Coast Editorial Associates=0D=0A  (WCEA). Since 1992, WCEA has provided writing, editing, and=0D=0A  training services for a wide range of clients in government, business,=0D=0A  publishing, and the non-profit sector.
