Students learn essential\n          skills at a comfortable pace over two full days afloat.\n          Instruction takes place on an 8.3m or 9m keelboat with a\n          certified instructor \n        in Burrard\n      Inlet. When underway the vessel may exhibit\n      irregular motion due to wind and waves and temperatures may be\n      cooler than on land. \n  \n  \n    \n      \n        Participants\n          should be prepared for moderate physical activity and variable\n          weather. By the end of the course\, students will be able to\n          contribute competently as crew on a keelboat in moderate\n          daytime conditions. Cotton and Denim are\n      not recommended as once they get wet\, they stay wet and cold. \n    -Sunny: bring a light windbreaker\,\n      hat\, sunglasses\, and sunblock. \n    -Rainy: a rain jacket\, rain pants\,\n      rain hat or hood\n    -Please pack a full change of clothing  \n  \n\n\n  \n    Footwear   \n    -Closed toed shoes are required\;\n      no sandals or flip flops please.\n    -Soles must be non-marking (white\,\n      light grey or cream color only).\n    -Rainy: waterproof footwear will be necessary.  \n    -Sunny: fast drying non-slip runners  \n  \n\n\n  \n    Sailing Gloves\n    -Gloves are recommended to protect\n      your hands.   \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n      Motion Sickness \n    \n    If you are prone to motion sickness or are unsure if you are\n      prone to motion sickness\, it is strongly recommended you talk to a\n      pharmacist or doctor regarding motion sickness medication \n    There are non-drowsy types of anti-nausea medicine. We’re unable\n      to provide this type of medication to our students.  \n  \n   \n\n\n  \n    \n    \n      Payment Terms and Cancellation Policy \n    \n  \n  \n    All balances are due 5 days prior to the course start date. \n    Cancellations made 10+ days prior to the course start date will\n      be subject to a 10% cancellation fee. \n    The remainder will be refunded via the original method of payment. \n    Cancellations made less than 10 days prior to the course start\n      date are ineligible for a refund. \n    We cannot accept any changes less than 10 days prior to the\n      course start date. \n  \n\n\n  \n    \n      Trip Disruption \n    \n  \n  \n    If a disruption of the course occurs due to a major breakdown of\n      the vessel (through no fault of the student) RPSA will issue a\n      credit for additional time on the boat/program.\n  \n
