In=0D=0A      British Columbia, this includes events such as the Van Isle 360=0D=0A      and the Vic-Maui International Yacht Race. Internationally, this=0D=0A      includes events such as Pacific NW Offshore, Transpac, Pacific=0D=0A      Cup, Newport to Bermuda, Sydney Hobart, Fastnet, and the Atlantic=0D=0A      Rally for Cruisers (ARC). =0D=0A    =0D=0AThe course includes classroom and practical sessions; indoor,=0D=0A      outdoor, and at pool facilities. Topics covered include personal=0D=0A      safety equipment, crew overboard, emergency communications &=0D=0A      signals, search & rescue, weather forecasts, heavy weather=0D=0A      & storm sails, damage control & fire, hypothermia &=0D=0A      cold water immersion. Practical, hands-on sessions include using=0D=0A      lifejackets and life rafts in-the-water; damage control; emergency signals.=0D=0A    =0D=0AThe Offshore Personal Survival Course is offered=0D=0A      by BC Sailing in conjunction with local yacht clubs and=0D=0A      facilities.
