DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:The Offshore Personal Survival Course (2 days) is=0D=0A  for experienced sailors who are participating in offshore and oceanic=0D=0A  races and passages, typically Offshore Special Regulations categories=0D=0A  0-1-2.  The course includes classroom and practical sessions.  Topics=0D=0A  covered include personal safety equipment, man overboard, emergency=0D=0A  communications &amp; signals, search &amp; rescue, weather forecasts,=0D=0A  heavy weather &amp; storm sails, damage control &amp; fire,=0D=0A  hypothermia &amp; cold water immersion.  Practical, hands-on sessions=0D=0A  include using lifejackets and life rafts in a pool environment; damage=0D=0A  control; emergency signals.  This 2 day course is Sail Canada=0D=0A    - World Sailing Approved.  Participants who successfully=0D=0A  complete the course receive an Offshore Personal Survival Course=0D=0A  certificate, valid for five years.  =0D=0A=0D=0A  Background=0D=0A=0D=0ASailors around the world take offshore personal survival training=0D=0A  (a.k.a.
