This lively, hands-on workshop takes highly honed=0D=0A  skills that are second nature to professional editors and breaks them=0D=0A  down into a sequence of eight actions that will improve and clarify=0D=0A  the text. Everyone who has ever changed a sentence in an email or a=0D=0A  report can benefit from this workshop, as can experienced editors=0D=0A  wanting a quick, strategic approach to editing.=0D=0A=0D=0AEach participant will receive a workbook full of explanations,=0D=0A  exercises, and helpful references.=0D=0A=0D=0A  Moira White (she/her) is an Ottawa-based editor,=0D=0A  writer, and trainer with decades of experience editing, writing, and=0D=0A  teaching for government and corporate clients. She has taught briefing=0D=0A  notes courses to many government departments, agencies, and=0D=0A  corporations both in person and virtually using a variety of=0D=0A  platforms. She has also given a series of webinars for editors.=0D=0A=0D=0AMoira holds a master?s degree in social policy. She has managed=0D=0A  on-site production of reports in Canada and Europe and has travelled=0D=0A  across Canada with public consultations, writing, editing, and=0D=0A  producing reports. Her specialties include synthesizing the work of=0D=0A  multiple authors, writing to tight deadlines, and writing executive summaries.=0D=0A=0D=0AShe is an honorary life member and past president of Editors Canada.=0D=0A=0D=0A  =0D=0A=0D=0A  Seminar=0D=0A  Recording Notice:=0D=0A=0D=0A  Editors BC will be recording these sessions using Zoom?s=0D=0A  record feature. The data captured may include your image (including=0D=0A  your name if it appears in your video image) and voice recordings. The=0D=0A  Zoom recordings will be made available to registered seminar=0D=0A  participants for a period of two weeks following the session.
