Since 2007, the West Vancouver Race Team has provided sailors with the opportunity to develop their skills as racers and train with experienced sailing coaches to improve their performance at targeted events. This year, the team will support Optimists, Fevas, 29ers and Lasers through its fleets, which include Opti A, B, C, Double-handed and Single-handed.

The focus is on building skills and attending events. Not all events are suitable for all fleets. There is also the requirement that those wishing to sail double-handed be matched up with a partner.

The training schedule will be available on our Teamsnap site. Make sure to use Teamsnap to indicate if you are coming to that day's training. Failure to indicate on Teamsnap if you are coming may result in us not having enough coaches on the water.

If you have not filled out a WVYC Jr. membership form you should do so before attending training. It is a requirement this year.

For those 15 and under click on Application for Junior Membership.

For those 16 and over  click on Application for Intermediate Membership.

If registering before you receive your membership number put "Pending" in the field that asks for a membership ID/Number.
