On-Demand Webinar:
Challenging Neuronormativity
Supporting Late-Identified Neurodivergent Adults
Original air date: April 30, 2025
12:00 to 1:15 p.m. ET | Online
This webinar invites social workers to explore the distinct needs of
adults who discover their neurodivergence later in life, particularly
those with late diagnoses of autism and ADHD. A neurodivergent
therapist will discuss the impact of compulsory neuronormativity and
the deficit-based medical model on late-diagnosed individuals.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced
by this often overlooked and misunderstood population, recognize their
unique needs, and begin developing effective strategies to offer
meaningful support to late-identified neurodivergent adults.
