11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET | Online
Presented by Angel Yuen, MSW, RSW
Description:
The Tree of Life is a creative, strengths-based group approach
grounded in Narrative Therapy that supports children and youth in
making sense of their lives beyond hardship and trauma. Through
drawing and storytelling, young people explore hopes, skills,
important relationships, and ways they have responded to the “storms
of life.” This webinar introduces social workers to using the Tree of
Life in group settings to foster resilience, connection, and
collective healing among children and youth. Participants will gain
practical group facilitation skills, learn how to use double-storied
accounts to highlight both challenge and strength, and explore how to
create safe, engaging spaces that honour young people’s knowledge and
lived experience.
The Tree of Life methodology was developed by Ncazelo
