Hidden Channels & Emerging Exploits: Advancing Offensive Security Techniques - Virtual Session
 Description

Session Description:

Join us for an eye-opening deep dive into the future of offensive security! This event brings together cutting-edge research and real-world exploits that challenge everything you thought you knew about secure systems.

Discover how attackers are using inaudible ultrasonic sound waves to secretly exfiltrate data and deliver commands across air-gapped environments—techniques that redefine what “isolated” really means. Explore why classic cryptographic flaws like padding oracles are far from obsolete and how they’re being weaponized in modern applications. Finally, uncover the truth about multi-factor authentication—and why today’s adversaries can bypass it with alarming ease using phishing proxies, session hijacking, and more.

Whether you’re a security professional, researcher, or tech enthusiast, this event will equip you with the insights and strategies needed to stay ahead of evolving threats. Don’t miss your chance to learn from industry experts and see the exploits that are shaping tomorrow’s attack landscape.

Speakers:

Isaac Privett - Ethical Hacker

Isaac Privett is a professional hacker, researcher, and security consultant with a passion for exploring unconventional attack vectors. Isaac specializes in penetration testing, application security, and uncovering novel security threats. His work often pushes the boundaries of traditional security models, delving into areas like ultrasonic data exfiltration, dark web threat intelligence, and side-channel attacks.

Beyond his professional work, Isaac enjoys developing proof-of-concept attacks, writing about security, and contributing to the community through talks and research. His past presentations have covered topics such as covert data transmission using sound waves and real-world exploitation techniques. When he’s not hacking, he’s either writing science fiction, brewing beer, or coming up with new ways to break things, just to fix them again.

Wade King - Senior Ethical Hacker

Wade is one of the most skilled web application security professionals at Packetlabs, bringing a rare combination of deep development experience and advanced offensive security expertise. With a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a professional background as a software developer, Wade has a strong foundation in secure coding and real-world application architecture.

Before joining Packetlabs, Wade contributed to multiple projects for the Government of British Columbia, where he was involved in the development and deployment of critical applications, including identity and access management systems. His proficiency spans a wide range of programming languages from Python to C++, enabling him to deeply understand application internals and identify vulnerabilities others might miss.

Michael Alampi - Team Lead, Offensive Security

Michael is a high-impact consultant and Team Lead at Packetlabs, specializing in full-scope red teaming, adversary simulation, and advanced initial access operations. Michael’s expertise spans across social engineering, pretext development, and payload delivery, especially, leveraging human factors as key entry vectors. His pretexting engagements are grounded in deep reconnaissance and behavioural psychology, enabling him to craft highly believable and effective personas that blend seamlessly into target environments.

As part of his tooling stack, Michael actively contributes on the development and customizes our internal Evilginx for real-world phishing campaigns, focusing on session hijacking and MFA bypass.
