RADIO OPERATOR CERTIFICATE (MARINE) – ROC(M) Essential training for safe and effective VHF radio communication. Price · $180 (maximum 14 students) Prerequisites · None Program Description The ROC(M) course is essential for anyone operating a keelboat or spending significant time on the water. Students learn how to operate a VHF radio confidently, including calling other boats, communicating with marinas, and properly sending or receiving a Mayday signal in emergencies. The course covers all the key skills needed to navigate marine communication effectively, ensuring participants are prepared for a range of situations on the water. Students may earn the ROC (M) certification. The certification is a prerequisite for RPSA Keelboat Club membership.
