When: Saturday, February 21, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm PST Where: Online via Zoom The Character Identity Workshop helps writers and editors deepen their understanding of how identity shapes character motivation, conflict, and story. Led by diversity educator and author Eliana West, this interactive session provides writers with tools to create authentic, multi-dimensional characters that reflect the diversity around us. Through discussion and exercises, participants explore how race, class, gender, environment, and lived experience influence how characters see themselves—and how society sees them. This workshop is ideal for fiction writers and editors of all levels seeking to build inclusive, believable stories. No prior diversity training is required. Recommended for anyone with basic fiction experience.
