Malware and Monsters - Interactive Incident Response Workshop
Malware & Monsters is an innovative security training game combines collaborative storytelling with creature-collection mechanics to create engaging, practical incident response training. Teams work together to identify, analyze, and respond to digital threats represented as Malmons, short for Malware Monsters, creatures with distinct behaviors, capabilities, and weaknesses. This malware and monster’s cybersecurity game approach makes learning engaging and memorable.

Speaker Bios:
Stephanie Corvese, GCFE, ACE, M.FSc, B.Sc. Honours Senior Manager Digital Forensics and Incident Response Stephanie is a Senior Manager in the DFIR team, leading national incident response investigations, oversight of the DFIR practice and Toronto lab, and management of the incident response hotline. A GIAC‑certified examiner, she has led over 600 investigations across multiple industries. The team depends on her expertise in cybersecurity incident response, digital forensics, and privacy-related data loss assessments.
Karan Sachdeva, CPA, CA (Ind.), CPA (Aus.), CFE Senior Manager Forensic Accounting and Investigations Karan is a senior manager with Doane Grant Thornton LLP specializing in providing forensic accounting services to a diverse client base. Karan has experience working in numerous industries including public sector, e-commerce, law enforcement, manufacturing and not-for-profit. Karan has 11 years’ experience working in the public and private sector and 8 cumulative years specializing in forensic accounting, investigation, and dispute advisory.
Jeffrey Hayden, CFE Manager Forensics Jeffrey is a qualified Certified Fraud Examiner specializing in providing forensic accounting services to a diverse client base. Jeffrey has experience working in numerous industries including public sector, law enforcement, manufacturing and not-for-profit. Jeffrey has 22 years’ experience working for public accounting firms and 18 cumulative years specializing in forensic accounting.
Sam Williams, CFE , CAMS, CBP, BSc. (Hons.)Manager Forensics Sam has worked in professional services since 2017 and specifically with a focus on anti-money laundering and financial crime since 2019. He has worked on AML program development, effectiveness reviews and risk advisory projects for all types of reporting entities.
Paidi O’Shea, BSc (Hons) Senior Associate Forensics Paidi joined Doane Grant Thornton as an Associate in the Forensics team, in 2024. With 4 years of professional experience in Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”), Risk Management and Forensic Investigations across Financial Services internationally. Since joining, he has worked on a number of fraud investigations and AML compliance effectiveness reviews. Prior to joining Doane Grant Thornton, Paidi worked across four countries for various multinational banks, as a consultant in the AML and Risk Management field.
