11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET | Online
Presented by Angel Yuen MSW, RSW
Narrative therapy invites us to listen for moments that look
beyond problem-saturated stories and notice 'unique outcomes' and
explore how they can become openings to re-authoring stories.
In this webinar, Angel Yuen will explore practical narrative therapy
approaches for discovering 'unique outcomes' in conversations with
individuals and families. Through sharing a story and a
self-reflective exercise, participants will explore how a single
overlooked experience can become openings to preferred stories and new
possibilities and meaningful change.
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Describe the concept of 'unique outcomes' within narrative therapy
and its relationship to dominant and alternative stories
- Identify 'unique outcomes' and explore narrative therapy skills
that develop openings and create changes in understanding oneself and
one's experiences
Audience: Social workers and allied mental health professionals
interested in learning more about narrative therapy, particularly
those with some previous experience with the approach.
