OASW Hamilton & Area: Social Worker Appreciation Night: Delicious Grilled Buffet and Escape Room
 Description

We look forward to welcoming the first 22 individuals who register to attend.

When

     Saturday, March 23 from 5:15 to 9:00 PM

Dinner: 5:15 to 7:00 PM

Escape Room: 7:40 to 9:00 PM

*Attendees will participate in the escape rooms in small groups with staggered start times. The first escape room will begin promptly at 7:40pm. Attendees are strongly encouraged to arrive early (between 7:15 to 7:30pm) to avoid disruptions. 

Costs

OASW Members: $15 refundable deposit

To encourage engagement among members, we kindly ask for a $15 deposit. Following your confirmed attendance of the event, members will be refunded.

Event Description

Come out and celebrate your hard work and accomplishments as a social worker or social work student with colleagues in Hamilton and area! We'll enjoy a lovely meal together at Spring Grill House that we'll grill ourselves at the dinner table while socializing and connecting. Afterwards, we will engage in an evening of mystery, puzzles and intrigue as we visit a nearby escape room. This will be an evening you won't want to miss! Food and non-alcoholic drinks will be covered by OASW.

You have the option to attend dinner, the escape room, or both! Register by March 15!

Registration Notes:

  • Please indicate upon registration whether you will require a taxi to get from Spring Grill House to Next Level Escape Rooms.

  • If any accommodations are required, please share these upon registration and we will do our best to accommodate all requests.

  • Free parking is available onsite at both establishments. Please note, when parking at Next Level Escape Rooms, please do not park in front of or behind Big Bee Comics next door.

  • Spring Grill House:
    • The restaurant has indicated that vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free and gluten-free diets can be accommodated.
    • Each table will have 2 grills and three people will grill their food on one grill.
    • Please note that there are a small number of hot and cold items can be ordered that are precooked and do not require grilling by patrons.
    • Please note any allergies and dietary requirements upon registration. If you prefer to share a grill to cook your food with other members with similar dietary requirements, please indicate this on the registration form. We will do our best to accommodate all requests to be seated next to others with similar diets. 
  • Next Level Escape Rooms:
    • Attendees will participate in escape rooms in groups of 4-8 people with staggered start times. The first escape room will begin promptly at 7:40 p.m. Attendees are strongly encouraged to arrive early (between 7:15 to 7:30 p.m.) to avoid disruptions.

    • If you have low vision, if lasers or flashing lights are an issue, or if standing for one hour does not agree with you, please indicate this on the registration form so that we may do our best to provide accommodations.

    • Cell phones are not permitted inside the escape rooms. All cell phones will be collected and locked up all together in a secure place by escape room staff. You can leave your phone in your car or at home if you do not wish to have it locked up.

Participants should remain up-to-date on information from government and public health authorities regarding attending in-person events outside. Public Health Ontario prevention and management measures.
