Event Description

Are you ready to explore complex and often-overlooked relationship narratives in the Black community?

Join OASW Durham & Area on Friday, April 26th, at 6:30 p.m. for an insightful and informative exploration of the nuances of dating and love unique to Black individuals.

This session will take a deep dive into the beliefs, myths, and patterns that shape relationships. We will unpack questions like: "What conscious or subconscious factors play a role in how we choose relationships?"; “What subconscious factors play a role in Black dating and love?"; and "What values do you hold in your relationships?"

We will also discuss: the role of generational legacies; what shapes our beliefs and behaviours; the roots of indecision in our relationships; and more.

This is a chance to engage with fellow community members while gaining insight and understanding into the dating and relationship experiences of Black individuals.

Don't miss out on a chance to grow your dating and love knowledge and community—that's all about love! With practical knowledge that can be applied to your own life, the range of topics can help you understand your own dating experiences better.

Food will be provided by The Little West Indies. Please indicate any allergies or dietary requirements upon registration.
